Bruno's is a fun little stop I make when I'm driving through Cedar City. It's inside of a gas station so for those who are faint of heart or skeptical, this might be a bit off-putting. But, it does look tidy and neat and has sweet little Italian touches here and there so it's not as uninviting as you might think. They have daily specials and the prices are pretty reasonable. It also looks like more of a local's place. You can usually find a few couples there on dates and maybe a mother and child sharing a plate of spaghetti. The first time I came to Bruno's I ordered an Italian sandwich which was around 6 inches but what it lacked in size it made up for in flavor. Maybe it was the dressing or maybe it was the taste of freshly baked bread with the crisp lettuce that sold me. Not sure. But I've also become fond of their shrimp alfredo special for $10 that includes a salad, garlic bread, and a drink which I think is a steal. Downsides are that they are not very quick and they usually have a rotating staff of apathetic teenagers.

Pasta dinner, lemon Italian ice, and spumoni ice cream are soooo good! Italian dressing mimics so much like balsamic. I like it but some people might not. Their garlic bread is yummy!

An Italian "restaurant" inside a gas station... really? REALLY! My parents stumbled upon this place years ago during one of their many road trips between Southern California and Denver. While tagging along on a trip, my parents made sure we were passing through Cedar City during lunch time because they wanted to stop and eat at Bruno's! I had no idea what they were talking about, but who cares. Then I saw it was located inside of a gas station/convenience mart. HUH? So, you order at the counter off of their menu with loads of yummy looking Italian dishes! Pasta, sandwiches, salads and even dessert! Have a seat at one of the tables and they bring it out to you. Nice! My parents love their regular meatball sandwich and I ordered the eggplant parmesean sammie. Each sandwich option comes with chips and cole slaw (or a pickle if you hate cole slaw like I do). My mom says the cole slaw is delish and that I would like it... I still stuck with my pickle spear. Super yummy sandwich, just as good (if not better) than some sit down fancier restaurants I've tried! Regulars were inside sitting having their pasta and salads, I took a mental note that if I drive through this town again, I will also be stopping and trying some of the other options! Also on the menu, you'll find pizza and paninis! Do NOT be deceived!!! Excellent experience from the food to the service, loved it. CHEERS!

I'm new to Utah. I'm from the South where food apparently is sacred. This is another restaurant rated highly that is barely above a frozen TV dinner taste-wise. Why are you people afraid of spices, butter, and the things that make food delicious? For the love of god Utah, flavor in food is what makes a meal! It makes life enjoyable. The days of the pioneer are over, you don't have to hold back in the name of conserving for pending harsh days. Go ahead...shake that garlic ten more times. Put some hot peppers in your "Mexican" food. Pros: this place was clean and the people nice

Best pasta in town! It is disconcerting that it's attached to a chevron station, but the flavor of their food is simply to die for.

Best pizza ever!!! We lived in Cedar City 10 yrs ago when in college and ate here weakly. My husband and I are pizza fanatics and have to try it everywhere we travel. We both agree this is the best pizza ever. We base all of our road trips around this stop and take anyone that's with us. Everyone loves it. We've had the pepperoni, BBQ, and Alfredo (with chicken). They closed for a year or so and we were devastated! Ten years ago they had the BEST BBQ chicken wings, but when they reopened they stopped selling them. Please bring those back!!

Fabulous! I had the pastrami panini and my girlfriend had the chicken parmesan panini, both were delicious and very filling. The sandwiches came with potato chips and a small side of coleslaw. We aren't huge fans of coleslaw so we left that item untasted. As previously noted, this restaurant is inside a gas station, much like you would find if this were a fast food or chain sandwich shop with the exception of the food being an order of magnitude tastier than what you would find at one of those other chain fast food establishments. I will definitely put this on my short list of places to eat when I'm on the road traveling and a great place to stop if you are passing through on your way along the 15.

Boy, talk about redneck Italian, this place take the prize. Worse than Pizza Hut by a wide margin.

The Alfredo shrimp linguine wasn't as great as people raved on here, however the pesto here is UNBELIEVABLE!! I couldn't believe no one had said anything about how delicious the pesto was! The Italian dressing on the salad was so good! Probably the best I've ever had. Salad was fresh and cannolis were delicious too. Great change of scene for road trip food. Service was quick and the girl working the register was as sweet as can be.

Best Italian Combo sandwich in Southern Utah. I'm from St. George and when in the Cedar area love to stop at Bruno's. You'll love it

Driving to Provo from San Diego, we couldn't decide where to stop for an early dinner. After reading all the favorable reviews, we chose Bruno's. It did not disappoint. Good food, clean tables & friendly service. Calzones were the best of all we ordered. My 7 yr old would beg to differ with the pizza bread he got. Alfredo was too buttery for my daughter's liking but overall it is a great place to stop for lunch or quick dinner. One review commented about how they forgot they were sitting in a gas station. They were right.

Yes, it's very weird that this place at a gas station. Now that we've gotten over that, the place is ridiculously good!!! So much so that the night I went, I was sitting there like a true fatty, planning my next trip. It's a really good thing I don't live in Cedar City because I would develop a new addiction. The BBQ chicken pizza was really good buuuut the Linguine Alfredo with Shrimp was AMAZING! If you like Italian food, I'd highly suggest you go to Bruno's. Like, now!!

Delicious!! You almost forget you are sitting in a gas station. I had the lasagna and my husband had a calzone. The salad that came with my meal was fresh. The bread was good. Seriously some good food. The service was friendly and prompt. The only thing I didn't like was that my food came out much sooner than my husbands. I was almost done by the time his came out of the kitchen. I only ate mine because I didn't want it to get cold.

Located inside the Chevron convenience store is a bright and clean Italian restaurant. Currently run by the original Bruno, there has been many types of restaurants in this location for over ten years. The service was friendly, the food was passable Italian food by Cedar City standards. It is the only Italian restaurant in Cedar. The lasagna was not bad, a little light on the filling and sauce for my taste. The chicken parm sandwich was good but lacked zing. Italian food shouldn't be bland. The cook told us that everything was made from scratch.

The location is weird considering how great the food is. Friendly staff, and great meals.

Amazing food and service every time! Yes it's hidden inside a gas station but for food this good who cares where it at! Authentic sicialian and Italian food, staff that's truly thankfully for your patronage, this place is awesome! I highly recommend the meatball sandwich or any pizza! I have tried several menu items and have yet to be disappointed.

A nice place to stop on the way to Salt Lake City, but I wouldn't say it was particularly special. Friendly service though.

This is the best pizza place in town. They have pasta, paninis, and pizza. They have the 3 general sizes (small, medium, and large). The slices of pizza are huge. Worth the wait of 10-20 minutes. I would recommend this place if you like pizza.!!

I love Bruno's!!! Food is excellent (try the Linguini Alfredo with Shrimp). Pizza is very good, and the prices quite reasonable.

I payed 12 bucks for a large pizza and I would say it's the best in Cedar city. I've eaten there maybe 4 times and when Bruno cooks, it's definitely the best. I just wish the location want in a gas station.

Wonderful spot we almost didn't find! Located inside a gas station we weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into but boy are we glad we did. I had pesto penne pasta with Italian sausage links my husband had chicken fettuccine alfredo, both meals came with complementary garlic bread and salad. Delicious!! Service was unbelievably fast, the waitress was very friendly and everyone else in the restaurant seem to be enjoying themselves as much as we did! If you are just passing through this is a must!

We were on a road trip to see Bryce Canyon and had stopped off in Cedar City for some supplies and dinner. A friend saw this on Yelp and we decided to try it. I had trouble finding it b/c I didn't realize it was attached to the grocery store located at gas station. My first thought was "Nope! Gonna try something else." But we were pressed for time and decided to stay. The food was surprisingly ok! We had pizza and the pasta special. The pasta was nothing special. Felt like canned sauce mixed in some meat and veggies. This was what I expected. But the pizza was actually quite good! The best part was the staff. She was friendly and helpful even when we made some spills. I would recommend this for a quick and affordable mean on route.

Will exceed expectations once you walk in. Guaranteed. I usually go for the panini but take your pick.

Good Italian food has always had a hard time being done well in Cedar City. But Bruno's is not good; it's great! I've been impressed with the homemade taste and flavors every time. Dishes are classic, which is perfect when you're craving something specific. The service is alright, but that's just what one can expect for a small business. The price is a little high, but it is certainly worth it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
